Prison inmate escapes in McAlester

MCALESTER — Authorities are looking for a man who escaped from a minimum security facility here Thursday night.

Joseph Feinberg, 40, was last seen at the Jackie Brannon Correctional Center during the 8:30 p.m. count, said Jerry Massie, spokesman for the state Corrections Department.

Feinberg is a white male, 5 feet 7 inches tall, who weighs 160 pounds, with black and gray hair and green eyes.

Feinberg is serving a 10-year sentence for lewd molestation of a child under 16, after a f ormer conviction of a felony.

Anyone who knows Feinberg’s whereabouts should call local law enforcement or the correctional center at (918) 421-3399.
