EDMOND — The Edmond Planning Commission unanimously approved a neighborhood office development after Oak Tree Park property owners and the developer came to an agreement.

The planned unit development district will be home to 13 office buildings on an 8.8-acre tract west of Kelly Avenue and north of Coffee Creek Road.
The commissioners denied the rezoning request from single family to D-O suburban office in April after Oak Tree Park homeowners argued against the office park.
Attorney Randel Shadid, representing Oak Tree Park Development, said all details had been worked out with homeowners during a Community Connection meeting following the April Planning Commissioners decision.
An 80-foot buffer zone will be left on the north and west side of the development. All existing trees will be left in place and, where there are fewer trees, more will be transplanted, Shadid said.
Lydia Lee, representing the Oak Tree Park Homeowners Association, said the developer had “addressed virtually all of our concerns.”
The project will be developed in phases and is expected to be completed within five years from the date construction begins.
