Okay Police Chief Terry Hornbuckle says 26-year-old reserve officer Matthew Pruegert was arrested Thursday morning at a convenience store by a Wagoner officer who smelled alcohol.

Hornbuckle says Pruegert was driving an Okay police car and wearing a gun and badge and uniform shirt at the time.

Pruegert was booked into the Wagoner County Detention Center and later released on $3,000 bond.

Okay is a town of about 600 seven miles north of Muskogee.

Chris...it happens throughout the state. I never did find out or hear about what happened to the Edmond officer who got busted for DUI twice in less than 6 months.

What's the point in becoming a reserve officer in a little town if it doesn't give you a license to drink and drive and confiscate drugs for your personal use?!?!?

Yep...and I bet he does not get convicted either....can't do a good job protecting the public from drunk drivers or public drunks if he had to face the same driving limitations as the rest of the regular folks. Oh wait, police cars are exempt from such restrictions. pppffftttt
