TULSA — Sentencing of Donald Roy Seigfried for a crime against nature was delayed today until Jan. 26 at the request of his attorney.

Seigfried’s attorney, Jerry Truster, told District Judge William Kellough that he wanted more time to review a pre-sentence report on his client as well as the sentence given earlier to his co-defendant, Diane Sue Whalen, 55.

Whalen received a five-year suspended sentence and must register as a sex offender, have no contact with animals or Seigfried and pay $350 in fines. She was sentenced in October.

Both entered no contest pleas to the charges and made no prior agreements with prosecutors about sentencing.

Two of Whalen’s dogs — a Labrador and a Weimaraner — were ordered forfeited to the sheriff in civil court proceedings and were sent to a rehabilitation center in Utah.

The charges against the two were based on videos that depict dogs engaging in sex acts with humans, according to an affidavit filed by Tulsa County Sheriff’s investigators.
