Oklahoma City man sentenced in 2007 sexual assault

An Oklahoma City man was sentenced today to more than 500 years in prison after losing out in his bid for a new trial on kidnapping and forcible oral sodomy charges.

Alfred Ray Burke Jr. was convicted of those charges Nov. 6 by an Oklahoma County jury, which decided he should serve 273 years on each count.

District Judge Virgil C. Black sentenced Burke accordingly today, opting to run the prison terms consecutively.

Burke, 46, had been accused with his son of abducting a woman Oct. 3, 2007, near SW 25 and May Avenue and sexually assaulting her.

Alfred Ray Burke III, 22, pleaded guilty to similar charges in May. He was sentenced to life in prison.
