Stormy day possible in Oklahoma on Wednesday

Wednesday could be a stormy day across Oklahoma.
The
National Weather Service said a strong storm system and cold front will sweep across the region and bring a good chance of showers and thunderstorms. Temperatures will cool behind the front, but rebound by the weekend.
On Tuesday, skies were mostly clear and temperatures ranged from 77 degrees in
Muskogee to 91 in
Guymon. The mercury peaked at 78 degrees in
McAlester and
Oklahoma City and reached 79 in Clinton,
Enid,
Hobart and
Tulsa, according to the weather service.
Skies should be mostly cloudy Wednesday through Friday. Showers and storms are likely statewide on Wednesday and possible on Thursday.
Temperatures should range from the 50s in the Panhandle to the low 70s in northeast Oklahoma on Wednesday, forecasters said. Lows ranging from the 30s in the Panhandle to the 60s in southeast Oklahoma are possible Wednesday night.
Temperatures should only reach the 50s and 60s on Thursday and Friday, forecasters said. Lows are expected to fall into the 30s and 40s Friday night.
Skies are forecast to clear for Saturday and Sunday. Temperatures should rebound into the 60s for highs on Saturday and 60s and 70s for Sunday, the weather service said.
Lows Saturday night are expected to dip into the 30s and 40s and fall into the 40s Sunday night.
