Tornado damages home, barns in Weleetka

FROM STAFF REPORTS WELEETKA – The National Weather Service and Okfuskee County Officials have determined that the damage done to a home and two barns on Thursday was caused by a tornado.

The EF-0 tornado blew shingles off the roof of a home, damaged the roofs of two barns and uprooted trees about one mile southwest of Weleetka, the service released. Maximum winds for the storm were estimated at 70 to 75 miles per hour based on the damage.

The tornado was on the ground for less than a minute, was up to 150 yards wide and had a path of about a half mile.

I was in SE Oklahoma on Oct. 29th and their was also a tornado there. It hit Hwy 2 south of Clayton around 2pm. It was seen, heard, and their is plenty of damage to prove it.
