Bartlesville man arrested in Halloween attack on boy

BARTLESVILLE - A 58-year-old Washington County man is in jail after allegedly attacking a boy who lives in his northwest Bartlesville neighborhood on Halloween.

Steven Henry Doepker, who is being held on a $30,000 bond, was charged Monday with a felony count of assault with a dangerous weapon and misdemeanor charges of assault and battery and unlawful possession of a controlled dangerous substance without a prescription.

Bartlesville police were called to the 200 block of northwest Seminole around 11:14 p.m. Saturday, after two juveniles reported that Doepker had attacked a boy in a nearby field where the boy was riding his bicycle, a court affidavit stated.
