Logo-Motion

Logos are a small part of the uniform, but they play major roles in identification. The interlocking OU is recognized nationally as well as the NY of the Yankees. Texas’ Longhorn and the U of Miami spell out who’s playing as quickly as who wears the blue star on Sunday afternoons.
The Oklahoman asked football players — high school and college — what logos they have favored over the years.
Edmond Memorial quarterback Blake Umberham:
"Oh, that’s easy,
Ohio State. It has all those (buckeye) stickers, it is such a basic design, but it looks really sweet. I mean really sweet.”
Oklahoma defensive end Frank Alexander:
"The
New Orleans Saints’ symbol, the Fleur-de-lis, because it represents
Louisiana and my hometown. That’s what I grew up seeing, and they were the
NFL team that was down there. It represents me, but not just me, where I come from also.”
Norman North defensive end Daniel Davis:
"My favorite logo is the
Colorado Avalanche. It has good style and a lot of respect.”
Carl Albert defensive lineman Gatlin Arnold:
"
Oregon’s flat black helmet is probably my favorite. It looks like a motorcycle helmet.
Texas Tech is another one of my favorites.”
Tuttle quarterback Tanner Koons:
"I’ve always really liked the (
Atlanta) Falcons logo. It’s unique. You don’t see a lot of logos like that, and I really like the way it looks. The colors are cool, too. It’s a really cool looking helmet.”
Oklahoma State defensive tackle Swanson Miller:
"Before I got here, I liked the Miami Dolphins and
Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Now it’s all OSU.”

I wonder why?
Perhaps because it's as lame and pathetic as the team and the city itself?
Ya think??
