Former Edmond North standout Marquis Hamilton might have played at Oklahoma State, if the Cowboys had only recruited him. Instead, he landed at Iowa State, where he’s in the final season of a productive career.

Still, he holds no ill will toward the Cowboys. His parents probably wouldn’t allow it.

"My mom and dad are Oklahoma State alums,” Hamilton said.

Hamilton is one of six Cyclones from Oklahoma. The others: Defensive back Jacques Washington, Owasso; wide receiver Houston Jones, Northeast Academy; defensive end Rashawn Parker, Ponca City; running back Beau Blankenship, Norman North; defensive tackle Stephen Ruempolhamer, Tulsa Union.
