Officers recover gun from Tulsa school's roof

Police recovered a handgun from the roof of a Tulsa school Wednesday morning after a teenager ran from officers as they investigated gunfire nearby.

A man told police that he was walking to a convenience store near Booker T. Washington High School when someone fired shots at him about 11:10 a.m. He was not hit and ran to the store, police said.

As officers interviewed the man, three people jumped a fence that separated a nearby apartment from the school campus at 1514 E. Zion St.
