10 questions to ponder going into Big 12 Football Media Days

Will Mack Brown be goofy? Will Bob Stoops be mad? Will anyone talk trash about the SEC?

6. Will the ladies swoon over Kliff Kingsbury?

We've heard plenty what a dreamboat is the new Texas Tech coach. Enough females will be milling around the Omni Hotel to get a gauge on whether Kingsbury can be Big 12 football's answer to Quin Snyder, who was a heartthrob while coaching Missouri hoops.

Heck, might even have to poll our very own staff members.

7. Will a mascot steal the show again?

West Virginia's Mountaineer was the star of Big 12 Media Days in 2012. But he's got little competition.

Every other Big 12 mascot is either an animal or someone in a costume with a head. That tends to limit personality.

8. Will Art Briles keep turning on the charm?

Every time I'm around the guy who has resurrected Baylor, I think, this guy ought to be the next coach at OU or OSU. Whichever job comes open first.

Of course, it's far more likely that Briles is the next coach at Texas A&M, which could lose Kevin Sumlin to the pros, or Texas, which could lose Mack in the wash of another disappointing season.

9. Who takes Tommy Tuberville's place as the league's most honest coach?

The smart money is on Charlie Weis, who gave it the ol' college try last July. Weis and Tuberville were breaths of fresh air with their candor. But Dana Holgorsen isn't half bad himself.

10. Can we get Bill Snyder to talk a little trash?

Two straight years, Kansas State has been picked in the second division. Two straight years, K-State has finished in the top two, including the championship in 2012.

Wouldn't it be great if Snyder walked in with palms up and said, what do I have to do?
