Statistics released by the U.S. Census Bureau show that Oklahoma ranks 17th among the states for percent of employment accounted for by young firms, or those less than three years old. The statistics reveal that more than 8 percent of Oklahoma’s employment is accounted for by young firms. Nevada, at almost 12 percent, topped the rankings. The statistics are used as an indicator of entrepreneurial activity.
