A 13-year-old reported being robbed by a group of teenagers while he was walking home from a park Saturday night in Northwest Oklahoma City, police said.
About 9:10 p.m. Saturday, the teen was walking east on NW 29 when he passed a dark SUV with the headlights on parked at the curb. The vehicle looked like a GMC Jimmy or a Chevrolet Blazer, the teen told police.
A crowd of at least 15 teenagers were gathered around the SUV, the 13-year-old said. The teenagers started following the boy. When they reached NW 28 and Land Avenue, someone punched the teen in the jaw and then grabbed his backpack, which contained the 13-year-old’s cell phone, police said.
The teen described the person who punched him as a black male who appeared to be about 16 years old. The teen told police the suspect is about 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighs 140 pounds with a slender, muscular build. He was wearing a white tank top and dark shorts.
The 13-year-old was unable to describe what the other teenagers looked like. He told police he had never seen them before.
