A teenager was found dead Monday in Oklahoma City.

Homero Macias, 17, was a former student at U.S. Grant High School, said his mother, Leticia Macias.

He left her home about 5 p.m. Sunday with friends, she said.

Police found Macias dead Monday morning in the courtyard at the Portland House Apartments, located at 3901 S Portland Ave.

Oklahoma City police responded to a call of gunshots fired about 6:40 a.m. Monday before finding Macias, police Master Sgt. Gary Knight said.

No arrests have been made.
