2 Killed in state crashes

Jeremy Miller, 35, Stratford

Miller was killed early Friday, three miles east of Davis in Murray County, when his pickup crashed into the back end of a tractor-trailer rig, troopers said. Shortly after 6 a.m., the pickup, driven by Miller, collided with the truck on State Highway 7, near the Chickasaw Trail. Miller died at Arbuckle Memorial Hospital in Sulphur. The truck driver, David York, 43, of Sulphur, was not injured, and both men wore seat belts, according to the patrol report.

Dorothy A. Bailey, 83, Ada

Thursday, Bailey's body was found after she was struck by unknown vehicles in Pontotoc County, troopers said. Bailey was found dead shortly after 5 a.m., on a country road southeast of Francis. Patrol officials said her body was noticed by a passer-by, who called the Pontotoc County Sheriff's office. She had been struck by more than one vehicle during the morning, troopers said. A cause of death had not been determined Friday, and investigators are looking into her medical history. Anyone with information on vehicles that may have been involved can call 911, troopers said.
