Eight tornadoes touched down Saturday in Oklahoma, killing six people, weather service officials said Monday night.
A tornado touched down two miles northwest of Snow in central Pushmataha County. The EF-1 tornado, with a maximum damage path of 200 yards, lifted about a mile north of Snow.
Another tornado touched down three miles northeast of Daisy in far eastern Atoka County. The EF-2 tornado, with a maximum width of 100 yards, lifted 2.75 miles west of Adel in far southeastern Pittsburg County.
Weather service officials said Monday the wind speeds of tornado on Saturday seven miles southwest of Hartshorne in far eastern Pittsburg County were more powerful than originally thought. The EF-2 tornado produced winds of 125 to 135 mph.
