Prosecutors say the three women allegedly broke into the home and one of the women, 50-year-old Mary Kathleen Sanders, was shot and killed by the man who lived there.

On Tuesday, prosecutors filed the murder charges against 37-year-old Starr Timmons of Elk City and 26-year-old Misty Puskaric of Sayre. Oklahoma law permits the filing of murder charges if death results during the commission of a felony.

A local newspaper reports that the women appeared in Harmon County District Court on Tuesday and were ordered held on $500,000 bond each. Court records do not list an attorney for either woman.
