LARAMIE, Wyo. (AP) — The University of Wyoming says the NCAA has granted another year of eligibility to linebacker Devyn Harris and defensive lineman Patrick Mertens.

The university said Tuesday it will be the sixth year of eligibility for both. They missed previous seasons because of injury or illness.

Harris played 12 games in 2013, recording 49 tackles and one sack and recovering two fumbles.

Mertens was nose tackle and team captain in 2013. He had 34 tackles and two sacks, forced one fumble and recovered another last season.

Wyoming says sophomore backup linebacker Zack Berg and junior center Albert Perez are leaving the program. The school says Berg is transferring to another school, which it did not identify. It didn't say what Perez's plans are.
