The interns are gone.

Every year, The Oklahoman’s crop of summer interns makes a strong impact on our newsroom. That’s because we’ve long had one of the best internship programs in the business. That’s just something we’re known for.

And the internships are good. There is real-world experience and daily coaching.

This year, reporter William Crum mentored the 2013 interns throughout the summer. And the culmination of their project this summer ran in The Oklahoman and on NewsOK on Sunday.

The page — titled ‘OKC Neighborhoods‘ — is still featured halfway down the NewsOK home page.

The projects focused on key neighborhoods in Oklahoma City. Those stories are featured at the top of the page. But the interns were blogging about their stories and interviews all summer. Those blogs are featured at the bottom of the page.

Yes, the interns are gone. But it’s not too late to check out their work.
