Plumley, a junior on the OU women's basketball team, was arrested shortly before noon Monday at a Norman Wal-Mart, 601 12{+t}{+h} Ave. NE.

According to an arrest report, Plumley is accused of trying to take four cosmetics items valued at $34.65. She allegedly put a compact, eyeliner and two eye shadows in her purse after removing their bar codes and tried to leave the store without paying for them.

Officer Jennifer Newell said a Walmart theft prevention officer made the arrest. Norman police were called to pick up the store employee's paperwork for the municipal complaint.

The officer allowed Plumley to leave the store after she signed her court ticket.

An OU athletics department spokesman said coach Sherri Coale is aware of the situation, but the department is making no comment and Coale would handle the matter internally.

Plumley, of Red Rock, started all 31 games last season. She averaged 7.8 points per game and made 103 assists.
