Cameron Wrenn knows there's no room for selfishness in the Broken Arrow backfield.

Wrenn is half of what might be the state's best one-two running back punch, along with junior Devon Thomas, and they both know they'll be getting a good share of carries.

Together, the duo combined for 2,904 yards and 41 touchdowns on 350 carries, split almost 50-50.

“When one of us is out there, we know the other one is on the sideline getting recharged,” said the 6-foot, 180-pound Wrenn, No. 23 on The Oklahoman's Super 30 recruiting list. “This is a group thing, and it's not about who gets the individual numbers or who gets the touchdowns.”

Wrenn also knows that he must take full advantage of his opportunities when he's on the field to help land the top-level scholarship offers he's pursuing. He has been to camps at Oklahoma State and Arkansas, and is getting interest from a variety of other programs.

“Coach will call you and you've got to earn it,” Wrenn said. “You know you've got to do your job out there. We feel like we can be a really big threat, because we have two explosive backs.”
