$26 million jail to open outside Oklahoma City
NORMAN — A $26 million jail is slated to open in Oklahoma 's Cleveland County .
A local newspaper reports that F. DeWayne Beggs Detention Center will open on Friday, but the cells will be empty.
Sheriff's deputies are expected to move inmates to the new jail in early February.
The new facility, which is funded by sales tax dollars approved by voters, can hold up to 542 prisoners.
