I just got back from a camping trip to Broken Bow, where I stumbled upon — of all things — the latest development in the state’s craft beer scene. I’ll have more on that later in the week. For now, I wanted to write about a cool beer event coming up, and a special offer for Thirsty Beagle fans.
The event is the second annual OKBio BrewFest: The Science Behind the Beer.
OKBio BrewFest is 5 to 7 p.m. Oct. 29 at the Harn Homestead, 1721 N Lincoln Blvd. The event, hosted by the Oklahoma Bioscience Association, will offer food from Smokin’ Okies BBQ and beer from the following brewers:
-Prairie Artisan Ales
The $25 admission gets you beer, wine, spirits, food and live music, a BrewFest T-shirt (for the first 150 registered) and a 14 oz. beer mug. You can purchase your ticket by clicking right here.
Or you can take advantage of that special offer I mentioned. Surf over to The Thirsty Beagle Facebook page and “like” the post associated with this blog post for a chance to win a pair of tickets to the event. I’ll select the winner at roughly 9 a.m. Tuesday by random draw. Good luck!
