BOISE, Idaho (AP) — Three Idaho women have recently died from complications of the flu.

Health officials say the flu season has begun earlier this year than in previous years, making it critical for people to get vaccinated as soon as possible.

This year's flu vaccine protects against three different strains of the flu.
