DENVER - The Jefferson County Sheriff's Office confirmed that three people were wounded in a shooting after a Red Rocks concert Thursday night, 9news reports.

The shooting occurred in the parking lot, not in the amphitheater.

The shooter targeted the occupants of a white SUV that fled the scene after the incident. The SUV ended up at 6th Avenue and Kalamath Street in Denver where the three victims were transported to the hospital, according to the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office. Their condition is not known.

Police are searching for the shooter and only have a vague description of the person.
