3 Tulsans Indicted In Holdup

TULSA Three Tulsa men were indicted here Wednesday by a federal grand jury for the $7,507 armed robbery of Sooner Federal Savings and Loan Association Aug. 25, authorities said.

Federal authorities arrested John Richard McGuirk, 26, but were still seeking defendants Charles Owen Williamson Jr. and Roy Russell Whittington Jr., assistant U.S. attorney Ben F. Baker said.

McGuirk, described by FBI agents as a transient, was arrested without incident at his girlfriend's house here Tuesday afternoon, authorites said.

Baker said the stolen money has not been recovered.

The defendants were indicted in U.S. district court here Wednesday afternoon.

Baker said photographs taken by surveillance cameras during the holdup aided the investigation. BIOG: NAME:
