3.3-magnitude earthquake rattles ground near Luther

Light to moderate shaking felt near Luther and Shawnee, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

— A 3.3-magnitude earthquake shook the ground near Luther about 7:45 p.m. Friday, the U.S. Geological Survey reported.

The tremor struck about seven miles east south east of Luther, USGS said. Its reported depth was about 3.7 miles.

A small area in south Oklahoma City felt light shaking, though most reports of light to moderate shaking surrounded Luther and Shawnee, USGS officials said.
