$32.8 M Powerball ticket bought at Pittsburg County store

KIOWA — The winning ticket in Saturday night's Powerball drawing, worth $32.8 million, was sold at Kwik Chek #38 at 505 S Garfield in Kiowa, officials said Monday.

"We joke about it around here that the lottery is the retirement fund," said Kenna Dunlay, store manager. "This just brings it closer to home that somebody can win and we're happy for them."

Kiowa is a town of about 700 residents in Pittsburgh County south of McAlester.

The Oklahoma Lottery is seeking the winner, who will decide whether to take a 29-year, 30-installment annuity or a $16,727,823 cash option, according to www.powerball.com.
