NEW YORK (AP) — The contemporary art fair Frieze New York is coming to Randall's Island this weekend.
The second annual event opens Friday and runs through Monday on the East River island.
More than 1,000 established and emerging artists and 180 galleries from around the world are participating.
The 4-day event is housed in a custom-made structure and also features art programs and discussions.
It's modeled after Frieze London, one of the biggest events in the world of contemporary art.
The New York installation also features a temporary sculpture park of large-scale works.
