Four new retailers will open at Penn Square Mall this spring, including PINK, a spin-off from the popular Victoria’s Secret brand.
PINK will open on Penn Square’s upper level Dillard’s west wing this spring. The PINK brand is geared toward a younger audience than Victoria’s Secret, with an emphasis on sleepwear, swim and sportswear.
Additional new tenants announced Wednesday include Soma Intimates, Freshens and Tilly’s.
Mall Marketing Director Jill Merritt said she thinks the Penn Square Mall store will be Victoria’s Secret first dedicated PINK store in Oklahoma. The new PINK store will be about 3,700 square feet, Merritt said.
Penn Square Mall expects to announce additional new tenants in the coming months, Merritt said.
“We’re not ready to announce any further additions, but we’re definitely enthusiastic about some of the ones down the line,” she said.
Undergarments and sleepwear retailer Soma Intimates is set to open a store at Penn Square Mall this spring on the lower level Macy’s court.
The sportswear retailer Tilly’s will open a store on Penn Square’s upper level near Macy’s this spring. Tilly’s carries surfing and skateboarding clothing, shoes and accessories.
Freshens will open in the Penn Square Mall food court. Freshens specializes in yogurt, smoothies, crepes and salads.
The mall, owned by Indianapolis-based Simon Property Group, Inc. recently completed a yearlong round of renovations including a remodeled food court, new entrances, updated restrooms and upgraded seating areas. Building permits put the cost of the renovations at about $5.3 million, excluding tenant improvements.
“Penn Square continues to attract some of the most popular names in retail,” Mall General Manager Donna Berlin said in a statement. “Following the completion of our successful renovation, momentum continues to build as Penn Square Mall is at its best with new retailers and dining options, plus additional tenants to come in 2014.”
