LANSING, Mich. (AP) — A weeklong, 50-city road trip is being planned to help promote Michigan as a place to live, work, play and build a business.

A post on an official state blog says Status Creative will be filming a video starting this weekend at locaitons around the state to answer the question: "What can you do in one week?"

Rob Bliss and Jeff Barrett are with Status Creative. They've been involved in a 2011 video featuring hundreds of participants throughout Grand Rapids lip-synching to Don McLean's "American Pie" and this year's construction of an elevated beach volleyball court made of cargo containers near Lake Michigan.

A map of locations is online. The trip ends Aug. 26. The effort is related to the state's "Pure Michigan" tourism promotion efforts.
