— A reward has been offered in an Adair County homicide for the arrest of a man who is being sought by law officers, the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation reports.

The OSBI is offering a $5,000 reward for information regarding the whereabouts leading to the arrest and conviction of James Douglas Manken, 40.

On July 13, the Adair County sheriff’s office requested OSBI assistance to investigate the homicide of Wayne Lee Wennerholm. As the investigation progressed, Manken was identified as a suspect, OSBI reports.

Manken is accused of killing the 71-year-old Wennerholm inside his Watts home on N 4735 Road. Wennerholm was found dead inside the home July 13 by a neighbor, OSBI reported.

Wennerholm’s daugther and Manken’s wife, Janice Manken, 26, was arrested Monday on an accessory to murder complaint. She was booked into the Adair County jail and is being held without bail, a jail official said Tuesday.

On July 14, an Adair County arrest warrant for first-degree murder was issued for James Manken.

Anyone with information can call the Adair County sheriff’s office at (918) 696-2610, or the OSBI at (800) 522-8017.
