58th annual Oklahoma City Winter Boat Show opens Thursday

The 58th annual Oklahoma City Winter Boat Show is Thursday through Sunday at State Fair Park.

The show will be held in the Travel and Transportation Building and the Cox Pavilion.

Boats, personal watercraft, boat accessories, ski equipment and apparel will be on display.

The show opens at 4 p.m. Thursday, noon on Friday and 10 a.m. on Saturday. It closes at 8 p.m. each day.

Sunday’s hours are 11 a.m. until 5 p.m. Tickets are $9. Ages 11 and younger receive free admission.

Predator hunting tourney in Blanchard

A hunting tournament for coyotes and bobcats is scheduled Saturday in Blanchard.

Cash prizes and gear will be awarded to winners in of the Central Oklahoma Predator Challenge.

Entry fee per one to three-man teams is $100. The team that checks in the most legally killed predators wins the main competition.

Tournament anglers sought 

Backwater Bassin’ Team Trail is seeking new teams for the 2013 season which starts March 9.

Tournament lakes are normally within a two-hour drive from Oklahoma City such as Sardis, Eufaula and Texoma. New membership fee is $75 with optional big bass and big stringer $10 each.

One day tournaments are $80, two day tournaments are $120 and $160 for the championship tournament. A cookout follows each two day event.
