Field trials for bird dogs
The Oklahoma Region of National Shoot to Retrieve Association will be holding three spring trials that are open to all pointing breeds.
The trial weekends for the bird dogs are Jan. 26-27 in El Reno, Feb. 9-10 in Minco and March 16-17 in Enid.
New participants or spectators who just want to learn more about our trials are invited.

Wildlife conservation seminar in Ponca City
The Kaw Valley Chapter of the National Wild Turkey Federation is holding a wildlife conservation seminar Feb. 2 in Ponca City.
The seminar will be from 8:30 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. at the Pioneer Technology Center.
Experts from various wildlife agencies and universities will address topics such as regional wildlife habitat needs, use of prescribed fire, forestry, wildlife assistance programs, public lands management in Kansas and Oklahoma, forestry and more.
Registration is $10 through Jan. 31 or $15 at the door. Seating is limited.

Edmond DU banquet
The Edmond chapter of Ducks Unlimited will hold a fundraising banquet Feb. 16 at the National Cowboy and Western Heritage Museum.
Doors open at 6 p.m. with dinner at 7 p.m. The auction will follow at 8 p.m.
