Two others were taken to Oklahoma City hospitals in private vehicles with gunshot wounds.

"I have never seen those students in my life," Crawford said.

Crawford didn't know what the students were fighting about and the Michael Jackson-themed party was open to all college students. They were giving away scholarships at the party, Crawford said.

The five people arrested in connection with the shooting were taken to the Logan County jail, officials said.

In the incident involving the car, the victim suffered minor injuries and was not taken to a hospital, Gibson said. Police arrested a woman in connection with the incident and are investigating her motives and connection to the shooting.{#xf078}

Langston University President JoAnn Haysbert said in a statement she was appalled and disappointed.

"We will pursue this to the fullest extent of the law," Haysbert said in the statement. "Oklahoma law prohibits weapons and firearms from being carried on state property by unauthorized individuals; and we certainly do not and cannot tolerate or condone this type of irresponsible behavior at Langston University."

Neither Langston police nor the university would release further information about the shooting.
