$60 million Texas HS football stadium closed for 2014 season

Remember that $60 million monster high school football stadium in Allen, Texas? Well, it's shutting down for at least this football season.

An analysis commissioned by the Allen ISD shows engineers have found design deficiencies at the concourse level, according to documents released to The Dallas Morning News. Nelson Forsenics found that some support structures were designed improperly, and they won't hold the weight anticipated on the stadium's concourse level.



As a result, the state champion Eagles will play three "home" games in neighboring Plano this season while the stadium sits idle.
