7 indicted in Lawton drug-trafficking scheme

LAWTON (AP) — Federal prosecutors say a grand jury has indicted seven Lawton people on drug-related charges.

U.S. Attorney Sanford C. Coats says all seven were charged with conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute crack cocaine. Coats says all seven have been arrested.

The indictment claims that the defendants — who range in age from 20 to 63 — bought and sold cocaine and crack cocaine at various homes in the Lawton area. The indictment also seeks forfeiture of four properties in Lawton well as four vehicles.

If convicted, each of the defendants faces up to life in prison and up to a $10 million fine.
