Assailants stabbed a 77-year-old pizza delivery man called to an empty apartment just before midnight Saturday in southeast Oklahoma City, police said.

The Domino's Pizza employee had been called to Chapel Ridge Apartments, 5707 SE 48, next to Tinker Air Force Base. When he arrived, he was jumped by three black males and stabbed in the abdomen, Capt. Dee Patty said.

The man was taken to OU Medical Center and underwent surgery overnight, Patty said.

His condition was not known and police have not yet released his name.

Police believe the man was set up for a robbery, Patty said. They have not made any arrests.
