Members of Seminole County's special drug task force arrested eight people here Monday night and were seeking three others in a series of raids which were the result of a monthlong investigation, said Sheriff Charles Sisco.

Three suspects were arrested after allegedly selling 35 individually wrapped bags of marijuana for $300 to an undercover police informant on a rural roadside northwest of here.

Seminole police officer Larry Herdlitchka, who directed the investigation, said Jerry Miles, 20, Jerry Levier, 22, and Jules Pickens, 30, all of Wewoka, were jailed on charges of unlawful delivery of marijuana and possession with intent to distribute.

The investigation was another in a series conducted in the last year by the task force, which has resulted in convictions of 66 persons for drug-related crimes.

Members of the Seminole County Peace Officers's Association Drug Task Force include officers of the Seminole County Sheriff's Department, Oklahoma Highway Patrol, and Wewoka and Seminole police.

Other suspects arrested were Virgil Spencer, 41; Annette Johnson, 24; Joe Don Gordan; Lynn Brooks; and Martha Levier, 23. BIOG: NAME:
