98-yard drive set the tone for Oklahoma State's win over Iowa State

AMES, Iowa — Pinned deep in their own territory, Oklahoma State ran onto the Jack Trice Stadium turf with plans to change the game. And that's exactly what they did, sparking the Cowboys to a 34-8 win over Iowa State on Saturday.
With the ball at their two-yard line, the Cowboys marched down the field on a 14-play, 98-yard touchdown drive capped off by Robinson's 10-yard touchdown pass to Tracy Moore to take a 13-0 lead.
And that drive set the tone for the rest of the game.
"That can be demoralizing to a defense," OSU coach Mike Gundy said. "When you have a drive like that, it can change the game."
It was the type of situation where the Cowboys could have wilted. OSU was coming off a disappointing loss to Texas and the even more disappointing loss of All-American receiver Dez Bryant for the season, yet the Cowboys buckled down and got it done.
As the Cowboys huddled in preparation to take the field, the players began talking about taking the ball the length of the field, showing the maturity Gundy has come to expect from his senior-laden offense. The Cowboys' seniors wanted to score, not just change the field position.
"That was a great drive," Robinson said. "The offensive line, on that drive they wanted it. It was a big drive for us. We felt we could move the ball on them running the football and we were able to do that."
Robinson's touchdown toss to Moore was a spectacular play to end the superb drive as the senior quarterback was flushed from the pocket to his right then scrambled left before finding a wide open Moore in the back of the end zone.
"Things weren't open so I started scrambling, trying to make something happen," Robinson said. "I saw Tracy pop open and I just tried to get it to him as I was getting hit."
During the drive, which started in the first quarter and ended in the second, OSU showed great balance, gaining 46 rushing yards and 52 passing yards. Robinson was six for six on the drive including a key 14-yard pass to DeMarcus Conner on the drive's first play to get the Cowboys' out of the shadows of their own goal line.
Said offensive coordinator Gunter Brewer: "Anytime you can take it 90-something yards off the goal line, it sends a message to the other team and sets the tone."
