It’s amazing to think what gems wait to be discovered downtown. My latest story, on the Broadway 10 Bar and Chophouse, is of particular interest considering what an incredible space has existed, empty and forgotten, inside the Buick Building at 1101 N Broadway.

Developers Bob Howard, Mickey Clagg and Chris Fleming already delighted downtowners with the addition of a vintage style neon Buick sign erected atop the building in March.

Renderings by architect Bryan Fitzsimmons shows just how stunning the street level will be once the restaurant opens.

The layout is fairly unique – and certainly massive. At 8,000 square feet, this restaurant could end up seating up to 300 people. A series of private dining rooms are located on and below the mezzanine.

A stunning original stairway will be preserved, leading up the mezzanine, shown in the below rendering.
