NHL LOCKOUT AT A GLANCE

DATE: Thursday, Nov. 29.

DAY: 75.

LAST NEGOTIATIONS: Thursday, Nov. 29, with federal mediators in New Jersey.

NEXT NEGOTIATIONS: None scheduled.

GAMES LOST: 423 (all games through Dec. 14, plus New Year's Day Winter Classic and All-Star weekend).

TALKS BREAK DOWN: A second straight day of meetings between the NHL, the players' association, and federal mediators ended without any progress Thursday. NHL deputy commissioner Bill Daly said in a statement that "the presiding mediators concluded that the parties remained far apart, and that no progress toward a resolution could be made through further mediation at this point." No further meetings have been scheduled, but NHL Commissioner Gary Bettman offered the union a meeting of just owners and players — without any leaders from the league or players' association. The union was mulling the proposal, but hasn't gotten back to the NHL with an answer yet.
