For an entire day, these moms endured endless questions, flash photography and video recording. We went with them to day cares and doctor's appointments, workplaces and workouts. We followed them everywhere, in fact ... sometimes even into bathrooms.

What we found is that although these women are very different, they are very much the same.

The common thread of motherhood and all that goes with it ties them together. Married or single, white collar or blue, they all face similar concerns and hopes.

Most of all, they love their children as only mothers can.

This Mother's Day — and on Monday and Tuesday, too — read their stories in the pages of The Oklahoman.

These moms have never met each other. You can meet them here.

What's next

Monday: If you thought the morning was hectic, just wait until afternoon. Our featured mothers deal with medical problems, job emergencies and literature lessons.

Tuesday: As darkness falls, the mothers try to find time for faith, food and fitness, but the weather isn't cooperating. With power outages and pouting children, this is no time to relax.
