A look at the federal health care law in Oklahoma

By The Associated Press Published: June 28, 2012

Here is a look at where Oklahoma stands on implementing President Barack Obama's federal health care overhaul, which the Supreme Court ruled Thursday can go forward:

NUMBER OF UNINSURED: About 624,480 Oklahoma residents are uninsured, or about 17 percent of the state's population.

WHERE THE STATE STANDS NOW: Oklahoma lawmakers first rejected $54 million in federal funding to create an online health insurance marketplace and then decided to take no action on developing the exchange, deciding instead to wait on the court's ruling.
