From the  National Weather Service, Norman Forecast Office:

Very windy conditions are expected Sunday as low pressure strengthens to the west over the panhandles. This combined with warm and dry afternoon conditions will lead to very high to extreme wildfire danger over much of western and central Oklahoma, and western north Texas. Burning of any kind is strongly discouraged! Any fires that occur will spread rapidly.

As a front moves northward Tuesday, scattered showers and storms are expected to develop. Storms may become more widespread overnight. Modest elevated instability may lead to a few strong storms capable of producing hail and heavy rainfall.

A strong storm system approaching from the west will result in a dryline crossing the region during the afternoon on Wednesday. However, there remains extreme variability within forecast model guidance, so nothing is set in stone.  For the moment, yes, severe weather is possible. What, when, where, and impacts are very much up in the air at the moment. What can you do now? Be prepared, have a plan of action for you and your family. Don’t wait for severe weather, because it won’t wait for you.
