PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) — Gasoline prices in Rhode Island have fallen a penny from last week, leaving the price about the same as a month ago.

The latest AAA Southern New England price survey released Monday found the average cost of a gallon of self-serve regular in the state is $3.52.

Prices locally are up 1 cent from a month ago. The current price is 21 cents higher than the national per-gallon average.

Rhode Islanders were paying a penny more at this time a year ago.

The AAA survey found a 16-cent price range, from a low of $3.46 a gallon to a high of $3.62.
