ABC will broadcast an NBA Finals rematch between the San Antonio Spurs and the defending NBA champion Miami Heat at noon Sunday from Miami as the network’s Sunday doubleheaders return for the season. Mike Breen, Jeff Van Gundy and reporter Doris Burke will call the game.
In the second game at 2:30 p.m., New York hosts the Los Angeles Lakers (Mike Tirico, Hubie Brown and reporter Lisa Salters). The Thunder is scheduled to appear in three ABC Sunday games. They host the New York Knicks at noon Feb. 9 and Los Angeles Clippers at noon Feb. 23 and play at the Lakers at 2:30 p.m. March 9.
*Taped Saturday night at Chesapeake Energy Arena, the PBR 15/15 Bucking Battle Express Professional Services Invitational will air at 11 a.m. Sunday on CBS. The top 15 bull riders in the world face the top 15 bulls in the business. The last ride features the 2013 world champions — J.B Mauney vs. 1,500-pound bull Bushwacker. In the 12th meeting between the two, Mauney will win $25,000 if he can last eight seconds. Craig Hummer, Justin McBride and Leah Garcia call the action.
*ESPN analyst Fran Fraschilla will call two Oklahoma State men’s basketball games in three days on ESPN. He will broadcast the Cowboys’ home game against West Virginia at 1 p.m. Saturday with Jon Sciambi and the Bedlam game at Norman at 8 p.m. Monday with Brent Musburger.
*The OU men’s basketball team will appear on the Big 12 Network, including KOCB-34, at 3 p.m. Saturday at Texas Tech (Brad Sham and Stephen Howard).
*Fox’s Super Bowl announcers Joe Buck and Troy Aikman were not surprised by Seattle cornerback Richard Sherman’s postgame tirade Sunday after the Seahawks beat the 49ers in the NFC final. The pair had heard Sherman build up his feud with Michael Crabtree in a pregame meeting with the announcers.
*Fox News Channel’s Bill O’Reilly will interview President Barack Obama from the White House during the Fox Super Bowl Sunday at about 3:30 p.m. Feb. 2.
*Following a successful Winter Classic, the NHL Stadium Series resumes with two games this weekend. The Los Angeles Kings face the Anaheim Ducks at 8:30 p.m. Saturday from Dodger Stadium on the NBC Sports Network, and the New York Rangers face the New Jersey Devils from Yankee Stadium at 11:30 a.m. Sunday on NBC.
*ESPN’s “College GameDay” will be in East Lansing, Mich., to preview the Michigan-Michigan State game. The first hour begins at 9 a.m. on ESPNU, continuing at 10 a.m. on ESPN with a one-hour evening edition at 6 p.m. leading into the game telecast. Host Rece Davis is joined by analysts Jay Bilas, Digger Phelps and Jalen Rose.
