Clubhouse gets new roof

The roof of Gaillardia Golf and Country Club’s 55,000-square-foot clubhouse has been replaced. Owner Concert Golf Partners “wanted 600 squares of a Class 4 impact-resistant roof system to replace the concrete tiles on their 15-year-old country club,” said Andy Lacks, vice president of commercial roofing with Oklahoma City’s Mallard Construction. Concert wanted “a durable roof system that would fit the high-end neighborhood surrounding the Gaillardia Country Club while withstanding severe weather,” he said. “We’ve installed the DaVinci Roofscapes product before in several Oklahoma locations with great success. So, our confident recommendation was the Bellaforte Slate Black impact-resistant tiles for this job. We love this product because every time we’ve installed Bellaforte it quickly becomes a centerpiece roof in a community and almost always results in creating several referrals for our company.”

Post-quake inspections offered

With eight earthquakes in Oklahoma in one 72-hour period last week, Saratoga Roofing and Construction said it is offering free roof inspections to Oklahoma commercial property owners through its ongoing Inspect Oklahoma Program. Recent quakes were strong enough to knock dishes off shelves, cause cracks in foundations and enough building movement to lead to roof leaks, the company said. “The buildings may not have fallen down but building movement is the second leading cause of roof leaks,” said Chad Westbrook, national service director for Saratoga. For more information on the Inspect Oklahoma Program, call Westbrook at (800) 757-7663, ext. 304, or send an email to chadw@saratogaroofing.com.

Wiggin adds sales associate

Wiggin Properties has added Motahareh “Mote” Nickel (formerly Hajimirzaei) as a sales associate in its commercial real estate brokerage division. She began her real estate career in 2010 as the property manager of Concept Ventures LLC, a real estate development firm in Oklahoma City. In 2012, she shifted to brokering commercial real estate transactions as a retail specialist for another firm. “Mote already has an impressive track record of success in commercial real estate,” said David Huffman, Wiggin Properties executive vice president and partner. “We’re confident the resources she has available here will help her achieve even greater success as she specializes in the acquisition, disposition and leasing of retail, restaurants, and mixed-use properties for our brokerage team.”
