City group studies impact fees
State Rep. Guy Liebmann, R-Oklahoma City, said he wants to find middle ground between homebuilders and Oklahoma municipalities on the use of impact fees. Liebmann held an interim study this week to discuss ways to improve the last legislative session’s Senate Bill 805, which would have imposed stricter guidelines on how cities and towns assessed and used impact fees. Such fees are charged to new developments to help pay for their impact on population growth and municipal infrastructure. The interim study also involved Mike Means, executive vice president of the Oklahoma State Home Builders Association, Oklahoma City Manager Jim Couch and Carolyn Stager, executive director of the Oklahoma Municipal League.
Equestrian designer joins firm
KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Populous, a design practice, has added international equestrian designer Todd Gralla of Norman as a principal and director of equestrian services.
